    EVENTS FOR 2018
    APRIL 7th 2018
    ...
The Victory Room Trustees have drawn up plans and obtained Planning Consent to replace the present 100 y'o building with a new Village Hall (the new Victory Room) in order to accommodate village clubs and functions slightly easier and with very much more efficient energy saving and improved kitchen and meeting facilities. It will be of the same general appearance as the existing one but will accommodate up to 80 for meals instead of the present 65-70. It will also have an additional small meeting and an open pavilion at the Rec Ground end for watching matches or providing a picnic area.
Full details of this project - which it is hoped will be completed by 18 November 2018 - 100 yeas after the original Victory - can be found at its own website "www.the new victory room.org.uk". Donations are being sought from Parish members and a number of Charitable Trusts and local business.

This site was an entirely privately funded and run diary and discussion page for the inhabitants of Bucklebury Village, Upper Bucklebury, Chapel Row and The Slade (in Berkshire). Unfortunately due to wikispaces closing down, this site can no longer be maintained in its current form. For the old static pages please see the link above. For more recent diary and information please visit the Facebook Community of Bucklebury page as shown below, or the parish council run site called Bucklebury.org. With thanks to all those over the years who contributed to make this site so long standing.
